St. Mary's Church, (located just across the Hudson River form Manhattan), wanted to reach more parishioners more of the time. They asked Power Sound of New England to design a Church Video System that could facilitate a better connection to their congregation, both at the church and far beyond its walls. This allowed us a creative approach for the design and installation of a multi-purpose church video projection solution.
We designed two systems to work in concert: a beautiful video display system for overflow areas
within the church and live video streaming which displays Mass in real time on their website.
The In-Church Video Projection
Our video projection design offer exactly what they sought. First, video cameras have been installed to record Masses; they are projected on flat-screen monitors in overflow areas. There is a display monitor and speaker in the vestry so clergy can follow the Mass. For overflow we also installed a monitor and speaker in the narthex.
Live Video Streaming for Borderless Worship
Live streaming of religious services is fast-growing as an integral part of worship technology.
Live video internet streaming offers parishioners, family members and other worshipers a way to watch live video broadcasts of Mass anywhere; on computers and other internet-connected device. Viewers can to tune-in from across the globe or across town. Vivid high-definition video offers a an experience that is the next best thing to being there.
This New Jersey Catholic church wanted our state-of-the-art technology but without the need to allocate staff to manage it. No problem! We manage schedules remotely so it’s hands-free for the parish. We regularly monitor the functionality to the live video stream to be sure it’s performing perfectly. We also are available for remote technical support if the need arises.
Now Masses are available to everyone via a link on the parish website. Live Streams can be viewed here: St. Mary's Church Live Streaming
