“When I decided to put our web cams in our three churches, my thought was to give our
shut-ins an opportunity to join us for Mass via the internet when they were not able to physically join us. What I did not realize is that the audience would be much larger. We are in a resort area and have lots of weddings of either summer residents or people who have met here and like the area – and often some of their guests can only join them for their wedding via the internet. We also have Baptisms when a great number of family members gather for a vacation and some can only be present at the baptism via the internet. We also have visitors that regularly tune into Mass at a particular church because they feel a strong connection. I have other people who just like to see the church and use it as a quiet meditation time. So the target audience I originally thought might take advantage of the system turned out to be much bigger which is good for everyone. It has become an evangelization tool for us.”

Complete Custom Church Sound System Renovation

Let the Music Ministry Shine

First Congregational Church of Eliot Maine entrusted us with their church audio system upgrade.
The Maine Church sound system was definitely due for some upgrades. Like so many churches in New England, they were enduring the crackling, fading, and "cutting out" typical of older church PA systems. Most essential, we wanted to address the needs for the liturgy but also we wanted to make the Music Ministry shine. In the past most churches, due to the challenging acoustical environment, had to choose one or the other. For this church, sound quality for the music ministry is a special and significant part of their audio renovation goals.

A concerns we’ve heard from many of our church customers has been that their audio system design couldn’t adapt to the unique need for recorded or live music. Power Sound of New England has succeeded in developing a strategy for custom audio system designs to meet the needs of both.

“…Fabulous Job…”
You were so helpful and knowledgeable with all aspects of our project. The crew did a fabulous job with the installation and the system was installed without any noticeable visual change to our sanctuary. I’d worked with Power Sound on a sound system design project at another church and was very impressed with the knowledge and quality; it was an obvious choice for me to continue that relationship to bring our ‘little church in the woods’ into the new millennium. Reasonable costs; quick response—I would recommend your team to anyone!

After a comprehensive audio needs analysis, and review of church goals, wish list and budget, we designed a custom audio system featuring professional-series BOSE loudspeakers, crafted specifically for the church environment. This unique system offers exceptional sound quality for both the spoken word and the music ministry sound. Mi.ssion accomplished

Holy Redeemer Parish, West New York, NJ

St. Mary's Church, (located just across the Hudson River form Manhattan), wanted to reach more parishioners more of the time. They asked Power Sound of New England to design a Church Video System that could facilitate a better connection to their congregation, both at the church and far beyond its walls. This allowed us a creative approach for the design and installation of a multi-purpose church video projection solution.

We designed two systems to work in concert: a beautiful video display system for overflow areas
within the church and live video streaming which displays Mass in real time on their website.

The In-Church Video Projection

Our video projection design offer exactly what they sought. First, video cameras have been installed to record Masses; they are projected on flat-screen monitors in overflow areas. There is a display monitor and speaker in the vestry so clergy can follow the Mass. For overflow we also installed a monitor and speaker in the narthex.

Live Video Streaming for Borderless Worship

Live streaming of religious services is fast-growing as an integral part of worship technology.

Live video internet streaming offers parishioners, family members and other worshipers a way to watch live video broadcasts of Mass anywhere; on computers and other internet-connected device. Viewers can to tune-in from across the globe or across town. Vivid high-definition video offers a an experience that is the next best thing to being there.

This New Jersey Catholic church wanted our state-of-the-art technology but without the need to allocate staff to manage it. No problem! We manage schedules remotely so it’s hands-free for the parish. We regularly monitor the functionality to the live video stream to be sure it’s performing perfectly. We also are available for remote technical support if the need arises.

Now Masses are available to everyone via a link on the parish website. Live Streams can be viewed here: St. Mary's Church Live Streaming
