Leading the Way in Professional Audio Visual Systems Design for Churches, Schools, and Commercial applications

Power Sound of New England has been serving houses of worship and businesses the with old-fashioned customer care and new cutting edge technology since 1969. Though we specialize in church sound systems and church video projection we serves other industries as well. Our customers includes schools, arenas, stadiums as well as smaller Catholic churches and houses of worship.

Or goal is to offer a custom system for each customer's unique space, budget and performance needs. Often the design and installation is just the beginning. Our relationship with our customers lasts far beyond.

We've created the blog to talk about some of our projects and new technologies within the audio visual systems industry.

Church security systems for house of worship provide the ability to be open for the parishioners more hours, more days. Never have worshipers needed their faith and their houses of worship as much as now. Yet today, for security and due to streamlined staffing schedules, most churches keep locked doors at all times. Let us help you overcome these contrasting needs.

Interior/Exterior. One location or several...
Video cameras for church/school security, with digital video recorders (DVRs), provide on-demand security, any place you want it— sanctuary, nursery, office, entrances, school classrooms and playgrounds. Our customized designs offer you a surveillance system to fit your church or school's needs, perfectly.

Digital video camera features

Church Security System provides peace of mind

Another Featured Project from the archives...

A NH Church's Security and Surveillance System

At PSNE we're gearing up to launch our newly designed website. And in an effort to keep available some of the AV Ststem Projects features that have been most popular, we are re-sharing the stories here. Our Lady of the Mountains in North Conway New Hampshire called on PSNE for their video security system...

Our Lady of the Mountains is a large contemporary two story building with multiple entrances. While it is increasinly common for churches to keep door locked, Fr. Don and the parish council wanted to find a way to be more accessible for parishioners wanting to visit the parish or worship at times other than scheduled Mass times. The goal they asked us to achieve was to design a church security system to allow the parish to open their church to the congregation more hours, more days. To do this they chose Power Sound for the design and installation of a custom Church Security System.

Monitor offers all-cameras view.
Power Sound's audiovisual design team felt strongly that church security could be implemented, specific to the unique features of the facility, in order to be most effective by monitoring all entrances. A benefit of this system is the multi-view monitor. It displays images of all seven camera locations. When an entrance is accessed the corresponding monitor image flashes red accompanied by an audible tone. The system offers the parish the ability to be as “open door” as they WANT, combined with the safety parishes NEED.
Never have parishioners needed their Church as much as now. Yet today, for security, most parishes require locked doors at all times. Planning for more church security is essential. Church Video Security offers ways to record sensitive areas. At OLOM, the main office has ability to record on demand, at pre-programmed times or 24/7. Optionally, sound may be recorded as needed.

“Excellent...again!”
“We’d been researching other companies for our video security system. Power Sound did such a wonderful job with our new sound system, we knew we wanted them, hands down, for the security project also. Having cameras at all entrances provides a real sense of security. The PSNE team is great. Julius really listened to our concerns and needs and responded to them. Very professional.”
~ Rev. Don Gauthier Jr.

With customized church surveillance, any space may be monitored 24/7 from the office or remotely via smartphone, tablet or ipad. Flexible security systems allow churches to monitor both interior and exterior locations as needed. Offering peace of mind and the ability to keep the church more open, more often. Church Video and New AV Installation at a Boston area Church from Power Sound of New England

Video Solution for Overflow, Security and More Visual Bulletins!

St. Mary Parish; Chelmsford MA
Power Sound of New England recently completed a Church Video design and AV installation project at St. Mary Parish. The Massachusetts church video projection project is part of a series of audio visual systems’ upgrades the parish has undertaken to continue to employ AV tools to enhance the worship. Power Sound of New England, specializing in professional pro sound and video systems for worship, has been chosen and trusted by St. Mary for the design and AV installation projects for many years.
Mass may be viewed from the Parish Hall

The Projects: Church Video Projection. Most importantly, the clergy and staff at the church wanted to project Mass to overflow areas including the parish hall and chapel space. Church Security: They also wanted secure way to keep the church open to the congregation with out compromising security. Church video cameras integrated into a digital video camera recording system designed by Power Sound of  New England effectively answered the call.

Thank you to Fr. Stephen and St. Mary Parish for again entrusting us with your parish’s AV needs. We are pleased to bring the newest church technology —of a PSNE Digital Bulletin
system—into your worship~ Troy D. Jennings; PSNE

Services can be seen and heard with monitors
Video Projection Features: Overflow Solution! Video recording of Masses is the focus of the video projection for the church. A camera, mounted in the choir loft records Masses and activity at the altar. The video is projected live to high-definition monitors in the chapel and narthex. The chapel, which features a glass wall of windows looking in the sanctuary space, can be used for overflow congregation or as a mother’s room for managing fidgety babies. The church video can always be relayed to the projector mounted in the parish hall and displayed on the large format projection screen. The parish hall system can also function independently for religious education, films, or other presentations.
Cameras monitor 4 areas for security

Church security: Another feature of the custom audio visual system designed by Power Sound of New England is a camera and digital video recorder that provides church video security. The system offers ways to record entrances and sensitive areas. With monitors installed in offices the parish staff can monitor any of the areas, including the sanctuary, Tabernacle, office entrance, and parking lot as needed.

I’ve worked with Troy and Julius for more than 14 years at two different parishes. Their work is always great. The video projection system they designed offers us the flexibility to project Masses in the vestibule, children’s prayer room and onto a large format screen in our parish hall. The video quality is exceptional! Planning for the future, we chose to have a camera security system added during the video project. Power Sound is the company we choose for all our parish AV needs.     ~ Paul Firicano, Business Manager; St. Mary Parish

NEW- PSNE Digital Bulletin: Coming to a parish near you! Or…maybe even your parish In addition the church video systems talked about here, St. Mary Parish also had PSNE design a custom PSNE “Digital Bulletin”. Now there’s way to use attention grabbing visual displays to project up to date images and video; including the weekly bulletin, parish news, event announcements and even advertisements.
The PSNE Digital Bulletin. In our next blog post we’ll tell you all about it. Can’t wait? Call us at 800.544.0108 today and ask Troy Jennings to talk with you about how it can broaden the way you communicate to your congregation.
Church video projection is one of the most versatile AV solutions available to parishes. At PSNE we have had the privilege of designing custom video systems that offer ways to communicate and deepen the connection to worship.
