In
this PSNE blog post, we will share phase 2 of new AV installation at both the
Chapel Conference Room and the Academy of St. Agnes Parish. The parish wanted video
projection their conference space, which is a former chapel and the Academy library.
The building once housed a convent and over time has evolved into the academy.
The parish asked Power Sound of New England to first develop and design a church
video projection system for the sanctuary.
The
project in the main church was completed in the Fall. (Read about it in the post
below) That phase of the AV installation was completed in time to utilize the
video projection as a learning tool for the new Roman Missal. St. Agnes parish
pastor, Fr. Chris Malatesta, employed the new audio visual system as a tool for
teaching the congregation. Fr. Chris displayed text onto the large format
screen and during Mass the congregation, along with Father practiced the new
Mass Translations prior to the November implementation of the Roman Missal, Third
Edition.
Other
important features of the video projection system included design and AV
installation featuring components that would be visually discreet in the
conference space therefore maintaining the glorious architecture of the former
Convent Chapel. In the library and the chapel ceiling mounted projectors and motorized
retractable screens were installed offering an on-demand feature that makes the
systems
Fr. Chris Malatesta spoke of entrusting PSNE with the
Parish’s comprehensive church video projection project:
“After meeting with Troy we knew;
‘Power Sound’ had an exceptional sense of our worship needs combined with
technical savvy.”
